Our club, honorary president Amancio Amaro, Carlo Ancelotti, player Claudia Zornoza and U-17 world champions from Madrid have been awarded by the Madrid Football Federation.
Real Madrid was honored at the 32nd edition of the Football Gala organized by the Royal Football Federation of Madrid and attended by Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations. After a year 2022 marked by the coronations in the Champions League, La Liga, European Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup, our club has been rewarded for all these successes in the category of sporting merit.
Our Honorary President Amancio Amaro was also honored for his legendary career. And Carlo Ancelotti won the Prix Soulier d’Or in the coach category in recognition of his great work leading the team in this successful year 2022.
Claudia Zornoza won the Soulier d’Or award for best player. Ana Rosell, Sporting Director of Women’s Football at Real Madrid, received the award on behalf of our first team midfielder.
U-17 World Champions
During the gala, the three Madrid players from the academy who won the Women’s U-17 World Cup were rewarded: Sofía, Carla Camacho and Paula Partido. These three players, accompanied by Paula Rubio, also received an award for having won the Spanish U-17 championship with Madrid.
