Sarri and the bags of urine: the photos from the bench

ROMA – A bad evening, and an adverse climate. The Europa League match played by Lazio in Rotterdam – in addition to the negative result – saw barbaric and unsportsmanlike behavior on the part of home spectators. A reprehensible attitude that emerged especially in the post game, when the protagonists brought their direct testimony.

Sarri’s denunciation

At the end of the match, the biancoceleste coach Maurizio Sarri criticized the referee’s actions who – according to the coach – would have ignored two irregular interventions at the moment of the Dutch goal that decided the match. But the post-match press conference also revealed a regrettable episode. Around 33 ‘of the second half, an envelope previously filled with urine would have been thrown from the stands. The words of the Lazio coach are also testified by the frames taken in the Dutch stadium. After having devastated the Spanish Steps during a trip to Rome, Feyenoord fans continue to prove themselves among the worst in Europe even in their own city.
