On Wednesday the men’s team competition took place where the Army had obtained the gold medal in 2017. Second place went to the Air Force and Space, and third place to the Civil Guard.
The end of the championship was celebrated yesterday with the closing ceremony and the awarding of medals to all the athletes who managed to get on the podium. Sergeant Alejandro Martínez Valenzuela took gold for the fourth consecutive year in the men’s category of -81 kg and by teams. In addition, this year he was awarded the trophy for the outstanding military athlete for his magnificent participation. With this trophy, he will be considered an elite athlete and high military performance, which represents a new success both for the sport of our city, as well as for COMGECEU and for the Ushiro Gymnasium.
