The municipal pavilion of the Barrio das Flores, in A Coruña, will distribute the tickets this weekend to participate in the next absolute Judo Championship of Spain.
The Herculean facilities will host the western sector of this discipline on Sunday, in which the best three of each weight will get their passport for the senior National, which will be held in Madrid at the beginning of next December. On the A Coruña tatami, Sergio Trillo, from Ferrol, from Bitácora, and June Moreno, from AD Ferrolterra, from Eumesa, will exercise the local representation. The locals will have to measure forces with the most outstanding athletes not only from the Galician delegation, but also from Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla y León.
Trillo arrives at this competition after having won the gold medal in the +100 kilos bodyweight group earlier this month in the Esteiro pavilion. A group that will also include the Galicians Martín Salvado and Antonio Sandino.
Meanwhile, the still junior June Moreno –AD Ferrolterra– has been summoned by the Galician Federation to represent Galicia in -78 kilos. Moreno took the Galician title, although in the Ferrol event she could not count on opponents in this bodyweight group. The one from Pontedeume will be accompanied in this painting by Noelia Ínsua, who is gaining weight for this event.
