Municipal authorities, Nicaraguan Federation of Baseball(Feniba) childhood athletes, among others, laid a flower at the monument to Roberto Clemente located in the Luis Alfonso Velázquez Park, paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of the national hero’s passage to immortality.

Robert Clement he lost his life in a tragic plane crash on December 31, 1972, when he was traveling to Nicaragua to deliver humanitarian aid to the families affected by the earthquake that occurred in Managua.
