Brazilian Legend Pele Dies

Pele died. The Brazilian legend breathed his last at the age of 82.

Reported by Sky News, this sad news was conveyed by his agent. To APPele was declared dead at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Friday (30/12/2022) in the morning WIB.

Pele had previously been in intensive care in hospital since before Christmas. He is struggling to recover from colon cancer, which he has had since September 2021.

Pele, whose real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, is one of the best footballers in history. He became the only one who could win three World Cup titles, in 1958, 1962 and 1970.

Pele has a record of 97 caps for the Brazilian national team. He scored 77 goals for the Selecao.

Meanwhile at club level, Pele defended Santos and New York Cosmos. He can make 757 goals, even though Santos claims the legend has scored more than 1000 goals.

Rest in peace, Pele.
