Carolina Marín (Huelva, 29 years old) started playing badminton at 8. At 20, she trained nine hours a day. She has won almost all the titles that can be won by playing a sport with hardly any tradition in Spain. She suffered two serious injuries, but she never gave up. She says that the best game she ever saw was the 2010 World Cup final in South Africa and she would like to have an autograph from Iniesta.

Ask. What are your favorite teams this World Cup?

Response. I stay with Spain.

P. Bring out the coach that we all have inside. Who do you miss?

R. The truth is that I don’t know much about football, it’s better that you trust Luis Enrique more than me.

P. Have you ever asked for an autograph?

R. Of course! When she was little, many times. Although now we have already changed it for the photos.

P. Who would have liked to have it?

R. From Iniesta.

P. ¿Messi or Maradona?

R. Messi, without a doubt.

P. Three things to know about Qatar.

R. The truth is that it is a completely unknown country to me. I know that it is very hot, that they have a lot of money and that the rights of women, the LGTBI community or freedom of expression are not respected.

P. Last time they scored a goal.

R. Right now I do not fall, but surely it has been not long ago.

P. An own goal, something to regret.

R. Regret as such, no. But being away from my family for such a long time and seeing them only once or twice a year is sometimes difficult.

P. And a goal in 90, his great stroke of luck.

R. Having had parents who allowed their daughter to come to Madrid very young to fulfill her dream. I know that not everyone would have been able to do it.

P. What was your first game on the field? Who took him or who did he take?

R. I don’t remember the game, but I know it was at the Colombino with my father. We went to see the Recre.

P. What is the best match you have ever seen?

R. The 2010 World Cup final.

P. Have you ever shied away from a football commitment?

R. No way. I’m not much of a soccer fan, so a game has never thrown me so much to do it.

P. The rarest place or circumstances in which you have consulted the score of a football match.

R. It’s funny to see the results of the League or the national team when it catches me on the other side of the world.

P. Del Bosque – Luis Enrique. 1, X, 2?

R. X.

P. Any superstition before going out into the field? Rituals for big occasions?

R. I’m not one for superstitions, but I got into the habit of always wearing a chain that my parents gave me at matches.

P. It catches him offside…

R. When I’m in a hurry and they call me on the phone to sell me anything from a company.

P. I would wave to…

R. health workers and teaching staff.

P. Ask the referee for the time when…

R. When I’m doing a hypoxia session and the clock doesn’t advance.

P. Three moments that you remember from the World Cups.

R. I remember watching a game when I was little with my father, although I can’t say which ones. And from 2010 I remember on the one hand watching the final with two friends and on the other hand the celebration, we were in the Gran Vía area and I don’t remember having ever seen Madrid like this.

P. Complete the sentence: “If there were no football

R. Many people say that sports with less visibility would have more fans.
