#Michoacán | Cecufid massifies the sport in the state in 2022
With competitions within the entity, installation of sports schools and training of coaches
Morelia, Michoacán, December 28, 2022.- One of the tasks of Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla is to spread sports in the state, which the State Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Cecufid) achieved in 2022, the year in which who held several competitions, installed sports schools and trained coaches in various parts of the Michoacan geography.
Raúl Morón Vidal, director of Cecufid, launched different tournaments within the entity, in which the great participation of the people of Michoacán was noted, such as the first K’eri Ireta Tournament, in which more than of 3 thousand 500 athletes from 41 municipalities in the disciplines of soccer, basketball and volleyball. The final stage took place in the state capital.
And before the end of the year, a part of the first Tournament of Hope was held, in the disciplines of basketball and volleyball in Tacámbaro, Sahuayo and Uruapan. In 2023, this competition will culminate with the discipline of football and the outcome of basketball. This competition has its municipal and state stage, in which only the
eight best municipalities in search of the championship of their respective branch.
310 sports schools were also installed in 30 municipalities in 2022, such as Quiroga, Marcos Castellanos, Zitácuaro, Tlalpujahua, Cuitzeo, Zinapécuaro, Álvaro Obregón and Zacapu, among others, with the intention of bringing, promoting and disseminating physical practice among girls. , children, youth and seniors. Along the same lines, trainers were trained at various points to be the ones in charge of said schools.
A few days ago, Morón Vidal and Myrna Ruth Cadena Mejía, head of the Social Sports Department, delivered sports equipment to those schools in 11 municipalities, consisting of soccer balls, basketballs, and volleyballs, as well as cones and ladders for physical conditioning. Next year, more municipalities will benefit from the delivery of sports equipment.
