The clash between Ourense and Burgos was not one more in LEB Oro. Both teams arrived at the match with their coaches dismissed, which caused the two teams to put themselves in the hands of their assistants. Oriol Comas was traveling on behalf of the Burgos as head coach after the dismissal of Paco Olmos and Iria Uxia did the same with the locals after the goodbye of Guillermo Arenas, thus becoming the first woman to lead a match in the second highest national category.
This situation comes to Uxía after going through LEB Plata, the EBA league and LEB Oro itself as an assistant, in addition to his experience as assistant and head coach in Germany with ETB Miners Essen y Rockets Gotha, respectively.
With him, the Ourense Basketball Club ended a streak of three consecutive defeats and reaped the fourth victory (95-91) of the season, a very important one to get some air from the penultimate place in the standings in which they situated.
