Gökhan Teksöz Basketball Tournament, organized for the 4th time this year by Lüleburgaz Municipality, ended with a magnificent organization. In the tournament, where Beşiktaş and Karşıyaka met in the final, Beşiktaş was the side that reached the cup. Darüşşafaka Sports Club’s gift of World Classics to the players of other teams added a special beauty to the tournament.
GIANT TOURNAMENT CHAMPION BEŞİKTAŞ
The 4th Gökhan Teksöz Basketball Tournament, organized by Lüleburgaz Municipality in memory of Gökhan Teksöz, the man who loved basketball in the city who passed away in 2018, witnessed a fierce competition. The tournament, which included Beşiktaş, Karşıyaka, Fenerbahçe, Lüleburgaz, Galatasaray, TED Ankara Kolejliler Sports Club, Darüşşafaka and Gaziantep, lasted for 3 days and witnessed a great struggle. At the end of the tournament, the medals and cups were presented to the participants and the winning clubs by Deputy Mayor of Lüleburgaz Kemal Pektaş and Members of the Municipal Council Aysun Dedeoğlu, Talat Aydın and Görkem Şişko.
İZMİR-İSTANBUL DERBY IN THE FINAL
Beside the competition, Beşiktaş took the lead in the tournament where sportsmanship was at the highest level. Beşiktaş won the cup by defeating Karşıyaka in the final. At the end of the match, which was the scene of a great struggle, the players of both teams congratulated each other, while Fenerbahçe beat TED Ankara College in the 3rd place match of the tournament.
MEANINGFUL AWARENESS FROM DARUŞŞAFAKA
At the end of the tournament, Darüşşafaka made a meaningful awareness. Darüşşafaka students emphasized the importance of reading by presenting the World Classics to all the other teams participating in the tournament.
