At the Rancho Boyeros Agricultural Fair in the capital, the awards ceremony for the best athletes and sports in Havana this year took place this Tuesday, December 27. In the act, which was attended by Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Party in Havana and Reinaldo García Zapata, governor of the capitall, they received the most outstanding team award in baseball 5; Most outstanding collective sport, soccer; Most outstanding individual sport, athletics; Female individual sport athlete, Daniela Darriba Yera, Basque pelota, fronton; Male individual sport athlete, Oscar Pino Hinds, wrestling; Male team sport athlete, Briady Molina Elías, baseball 5; Female athlete team sport, Dailin Lázara Friol León, softball.

During the ceremony, which was also attended by Sucel Lameré García, first secretary of the Municipal Party Committee in Boyeros; Oscar Nuevo Reyes, national technical methodological director of High Performance, and Ariel Darias Álvarez, provincial sports director, was recognized for the excellent results achieved during the School Games, the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

During the activity, Dayan Sosa Pérez, from Taekwondo and Yoelvis Rodríguez Dalmau, from badminton, received the award as Outstanding Parathletes of the Year in the capital. The most outstanding male Parathlete was Yonaldy González Miyares, judo, while the most outstanding Parathlete was Robiel Yanquiel Sol Cervántez, athletics (long jump).

The Most Outstanding Athlete award in special activities corresponded to Erick Hernández Sánchez, soccer, touches of the ball; Event of the year was for Harold Lázaro Quintana Figueroa, who gave 697 touches in one minute to a ball while sitting in a wheelchair. Outstanding contract athlete, Jasiel Rivero Fernández, basketball. Yasmani Álvarez Perasa, from softball, was chosen as Rookie of the year.

The award for the Best Physical Education teacher went to Mr. Norberto Clemente Ferro; the title of Best Activist was held by Silvia Reyes Tabío.

Ivette Santiago Rodríguez, soccer, was chosen as the Best International Referee, while Yanet Moreno Mendinueta, from the sport of baseball, was the Best National Referee.

The list of Outstanding Youth Athletes is made up of: white Kimi Bravo, judo; Ayamey Estrada López, judo; Daniel Hidalgo Diaz, Chess; Luis Frank Reinoso, boxing; Brenda Starling Martinez, wrestling; Lorena Sánchez Ponce, rhythmic gymnastics; Brayan Diaz Montejo, Karate Do; Dariel Andrés Estrada Leban, artistic gymnastics; Melissa Cabrera Pacheco, swimming, and Akelin Matos Ruban, Taekwondo. Dainé Pedré Garcés, swimming, was elected as the most outstanding female youth athlete, while among men that distinction corresponded to Alain Otero Marino, chess.

Featured Athletes of 2022: Dylan Isidro Berdayes Ason, chess; Omar Almeida Quintana, chess; Idalis Lovet Valdés, table tennis; Daniel Gregorich Hechevarría, Lucha greco; Yonder Román García Álvarez, volleyball; Leandro Marcos Vidueiro, cycling; Reineris Salas Pérez, fight; Luis Alberto Orta Sánchez, Greek wrestling; Orlando Amador Molina, Baseball 5; Anisley García Navarro, nailed, and Carlos Daniel Ramos Rodríguez, nailed.
