The AD Judo Ferrolterra has participated this past Saturday in the Spanish Cup in the Infant and Cadet categories that has been held in Granadilla de Abona, in Tenerife, and has taken the bronze thanks to the performance of Iria Martínez, who proved to be the third best in the children’s strip. The club displaced a total of eight judokas and Bruno Carrodeguas, one of the cadets, achieved seventh place in -73 kilos.
Martínez, for his part, had a great competition and after three hard fights he got bronze in the -48 kilos category. His classmate, Lolo Picos, signed a seventh position in -66 kilos. The other five cadets of the region entity, Carlos Botana, Xabier Leira, Pablo López, Mario Tenreiro and Iván Roca did not have the option to fight for the first places. Coach Alberto Castro and referee Ana Dapena traveled with them.
