The Judo Club Uster can look back with satisfaction on a successful Swiss individual championship in Lausanne. The coaching team Garik Harutyunyan and Philipp Koch prepared the team for the point for the season finale. Gioia Vetterli and Lukas Wittwer dominated their categories in the elite and each took gold for Uster.

And defending champion Siro Stump had to admit defeat after a total of 14:44 minutes of fighting in the final of up to 73 kilograms and became Vice Swiss Champion. In the junior U18s, Quirin Gerosa, Daniel Kubli and Andrin Ganster qualified for the title fights.

It was the first Swiss championship for all three, and two of them were able to adorn themselves with precious metal. Quirin became Vice Swiss Champion in the category +81 kilograms. Daniel and Andrin both met with one loss each in the quarterfinals in the fight for bronze.

Only one could win, and this year it was Daniel Kubli. Title favorite Emma Cinagrossi had to give up due to injury. Fabienne Kocher and Nils Stump did not compete in the national title fights this year in preparation for the Masters in Jerusalem.
