NewTuscia – BASSANO IN TEVERINA – The report, so far unpublished, on the compelling story and its secrets of the Painting which, in the conception of the people, together with the Holy Shroud of Turin, gives a certain physiognomy to Jesus of Nazareth is at the center of the meeting with journalist David Murgia (TV2000) which will be held on Saturday 10 December at 18.00 in Bassano in Teverina (VT) at the Church of Santa Maria dei Lumi.
This painting, which represents the Miraculous Face, has given rise to a cult practiced by millions of people. We speak of the authentic image of Divine Mercy, which Jesus asked the Polish mystic saint Faustina Kowalska to make real. From Poland to Lithuania via Belarus, the vicissitudes of this picture unfold in a real spy-story which – against the background of the Nazi advance and the Soviet invasion – tell, for the first time, the extraordinary journey of this sacred Image miraculously saved by some priests and, above all, by a handful of courageous women who hid, stole, bought and ransomed it, for the benefit of all humanity.
