HIGUEY, LA ALTAGRACIA, RD.- The Basketball Association of the province of La Altagracia (ABAPA) presented this Monday the members of the Organizing Committee of the XLVII Superior Tournament, scheduled to be inaugurated on the 12th of this month.
The contest is scheduled to start on Monday the 12th, starting at 6:30 in the afternoon, at the Leo Tavárez sports center, with the celebration of two games, the first at the previously indicated time between the teams of Cambelén and San José, and at 8:00 pm Center will collide against Antonio Guzmán.
Jorge Tavárez, president of ABAPA, led the protocol act in which Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte was presented, at the head of the Organizing Committee of the most important sports event in this province, which will culminate on Friday, January 27, 2023.
Monsignor Castro Marte is the current bishop of the Diocese of Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia in Higüey, and will be accompanied by a select group of men and women from Higüey society, faithful lovers of sports and especially basketball.

The presentation of the personalities was made this Thursday morning at a ceremony held at the L’Monani Restaurant, on Celina Pellier Street, number 9, in the city of Higüey.
Monsignor Castro Marte, in his words of inauguration, appreciated and thanked that he was taken into account by the main basketball authorities of the La Altagracia province to preside over the Organizing Committee of the fair, which brings together hundreds of young people and adults.
On the same stage, Tavárez announced the dedication of the sporting event that fell to the figure of the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, and in which the Punta Cana Group Cup will be held.
