Moussa Diabaté must have his chance!

We’re going back to the basics this season! Every Sunday you will therefore find here everything you need to know about the French in the NBA, so as not to miss anything about the progress of Killian Hayes or the new life of Rudy Gobert in his pack of Wolves. This week ? Moussa Diabaté smashes the G League like you would smash a fast food restaurant after a Sunday game.

# RUDY GOBERT

Week under the sign of emotion for Rudy Gobert since for the first time since his arrival in the NBA, the Gobe played basketball in Utah but with a different jersey than that of the Jazz. He obviously got his little tribute, he left with a victory and a head to head with Malik Beasley, then he took a flurry the next day against Damian Lillard despite another big game. The roller coaster, a little.

  • Wolves vs Pacers: 16 points at 6/12 shooting and 4/5 throwing, 21 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 31 minutes
  • Wolves @ Jazz: 22 points at 8/11 in shooting including 0/1 from the parking lot and 6/10 in throws, 13 rebounds and 1 assist in 37 minutes
  • Wolves @ Blazers: 24 points at 9/11 in shooting and 6/9 in throws, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 1 against in 36 minutes

# EVAN FOURNIER

We are obviously not going to tell you about these highlights, you will have understood that Vavane is no longer part of the Knicks’ plans. First news the Knicks have a plan, and in this context there is talk of a potential package with Cam Reddish or Immanuel Quickley. Well let’s see.

  • Knicks vs Cavs : DNP
  • Knicks vs Hawks : DNP
  • Knicks @ Hornets : DNP

# NICHOLAS BATUM

Nicolas Batum has planted fifteen shots from the parking lot this week, in four games. Nicolas Batum was clutch against the Wizards, he almost was against the Magic, in short Nicolas Batum is fine and he continues his preparation for the double gold medal of the Blues in 2023 and 2024. And Kawhi Leonard or Paul George in sparring-partner it’s pretty good.

  • Clippers @ Hornets: 13 points at 4/6 from the parking lot and 1/3 from throws, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in 20 minutes
  • Clippers @ Magic: 16 points at 6/11 shooting including 4/9 from the parking lot, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 38 minutes
  • Clippers @ Heat: 11 points at 4/8 in shooting including 3/7 from the parking lot and 0/1 in throws
  • Clippers @ Wizards: 12 points at 4/12 shooting including 4/10 from the parking lot, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks in 33 minutes

# FRANK DOESN’T PLAY

During the blow-out against the Bulls, Frank Ntilikina played almost as much as in all his other games of the season and he therefore took the opportunity to plant as many baskets as since… oh well, nothing at all in fact. Jaden Hardy and Josh Green are young, Tyler Dorsey is not far from the NBA group, Luka Doncic, Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr. are unstoppable this season? We wish Franky to be patient. And please, dear colleagues, absolutely no one calls him Franky Smokes.

  • Mavericks vs Suns: 2 points at 1/1 shooting, 1 assist and 1 steal in 5 minutes
  • Mavericks @ Nuggets : DNP
  • Mavericks vs Bucks : DNP
  • Mavericks @ Bulls: 0 point to 0/7 shooting including 0/4 from the parking lot, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block in 25 minutes

# KILLIAN HAYES

Still holding, rest assured, still the banana, still standing. Killian Hayes’ week is a song by Renaud but be careful, a Renaud from the 2000s. A lot of awkwardness despite an obvious love for him, Kiki continues to have the honors of his fanbase and his staff even if he has sometimes done gray mine for ten days. Renaud of the 2000s we said.

  • Pistons vs Grizzlies: 13 points at 5/13 shooting including 3/5 from the parking lot, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks in 29 minutes
  • Pistons @ Heat: 6 points at 2/8 shooting including 2/4 from the parking lot, 1 rebound, 6 assists and 1 block in 23 minutes
  • Pistons @ Pelicans: 17 points at 8/17 shooting including 1/5 from the parking lot, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes
  • Pistons @ Grizzlies: 5 points at 2/8 in shooting including 0/3 from the parking lot and 1/1 in throws, 1 rebound, 5 assists and 2 steals in 19 minutes

# OUSMANE DIENG

The best game of his NBA career in Atlanta, then Ousmane went back to doing dirty in the G League (see below). That’s how it goes in Oklahoma but the project is taking its course, Ousmane is doing his leases, at his own pace, and we imagine that the OKC franchise is satisfied with it. The opportunities will be there again, each in turn, just have to use it when yours passes.

  • Thunder @ Hawks: 15 points at 6/8 shooting including 3/4 from the parking lot, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 19 minutes
  • Thunder @ Grizzlies : DNP
  • Thunder @ Cavs : DNP

# THEO MALEDON

At the heart of a flavorless season in Charlotte, Theo tries to bring his own. The French leader comes off the bench, rather effectively even if this week will not go down in the annals of the Maledon family, and the former darling (not at all) of Tony Parker at ASVEL can at least say that between the injured and the ongoing tanking operation, this regular could be an opportunity for him to restore his image a little. We don’t give up Tété, we don’t give up!

  • Hornets vs Clippers: 5 points at 2/7 shooting including 1/2 from the parking lot, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 against in 15 minutes
  • Hornets @ Nets: 5 points at 1/1 in shooting and 3/3 in throws, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 11 minutes
  • Hornets vs Knicks: 8 points at 3/6 in shooting including 0/2 from the parking lot and 2/2 in throws, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes

# MOUSSA DIABATE

After a good stint with the NBA group last week, Moussa Diabaté was sent back to the G League to feed himself abundantly. Oh the good idea, since the last two games of the boy are simply incredible. 28 points and 23 rebounds, 12/17 shooting, 24 points and 20 rebounds at 10/13, the interiors of the Salt Lake City Stars are still crying and Tyronn Lue now knows that a kind of monster is hanging around not far from his roster . Two choices are now available to Moussa, even if it is not he who decides so this sentence means nothing: 1) he finally joins the Clippers full-time and sends this Moses Brown pipe to another sport or 2) Moussa remains to make his ranges in G League and becomes MVP of this second zone championship. Come on, please, solution 1.

  • Clippers @ Hornets : DNP
  • Clippers @ Magic : DNP
  • Clippers @ Heat : DNP
  • Clippers @ Wizards : DNP
