Telethon 2022: in Châteaudun, will the challenge of going around the Place du 18-Octobre with… 380 meters of trombones be taken up?

The editions follow each other, but are not alike. For this 36th edition of the Telethon, which takes place on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December, customary activities will mingle with some novelties and a new challenge. The Telethon program began to take shape in September.

“I’m not worried”

“The call for associations was launched at that time, begins Pascal Michelet, coordinator of the Dunois Telethon. A first preparatory meeting was then held. There were very few people. But with word of mouth, the associations quickly contacted me. »

A grand opening show at the municipal theater will launch this new edition of the Telethon on Friday at 6 p.m. It is provided by a choir made up of 27 students from the Pasteur school, accompanied by the group Tchett’N’Beuzz.

Laurence Tiennot-Herment, president of the AFM-Téléthon, held a conference in Châteaudun: “We must continue this beautiful mobilization”

Among the comebacks, the Telethon village will resume its quarters on the Place du 18-Octobre Saturday, from 10 am to 6.30 pm. Presentation of vehicles, sales of handmade objects, novels, cookies or raffles are among the exhibitors.

Also Place du 18-Octobre, harvesting and sorting cans will be held on the same day, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Donors will have until Sunday noon to deposit advertisements, newspapers and papers in the 30 m dumpster in the parking lot of the square. “I don’t worry about filling it up,” smiles Pascal Michelet.

€10,000 in expected donations

The Dunois Telethon also has its share of new features. Among them, the animation organized by the Friends of the castle, which present “for the first time” the game of “battle arc”. “It’s like a dodgeball. You have to eliminate the opposing team using a low-power bow and arrows with a rubber tip,” explains Pascal Michelet.

The red thread of this edition is the unique challenge launched by the Con se le dise dunoise brotherhood. It will be go around the Place du 18-Octobre, that is 380 meters, with garlands of colored trombones of 5 cm each, sold on site individually or by ten.

Who could steal the banners of the Châteaudun committee of the Téléthon?

The coordinator of the Dunes committee estimates the amount of donations at €10,000 this year. “That’s our number, only thanks to the pitch. We are one of the associations in the department that works best,” he continues. “Châteaudun is a dynamic reference, often held up as an example. »
