A total of 30 teams met, 9 made up of women (5 JRZ – 4 CUU) and 21 more made up of men (10 JRZ – 11 CUU); This result was achieved thanks to the joint work with Alfredo Bermúdez Jiménez, attached to the General Legal Department, who contributed his sports knowledge for the structure of this project.
Personnel from different areas integrated the teams and even took the opportunity to make them interdepartmental with employees from different courts, addresses, and rooms, which allowed balancing the work environment with this activity, which as it progressed with the first rounds held at the Tricentennial Gymnasium in Chihuahua and in Ciudad Juárez at the Josué Neri Santos, the spirit of competition and sportsmanship were present in each game played in the afternoons, after the end of the working day.
The final of this tournament took place on Saturday, December 10, on the floor of the Gymnasium of the Colegio de Bachilleres l, right in front of the central building of the Judiciary in the state capital, where “Leonas” from Bravos arrived to face each other. to “Black Mamba” Morelos, with 4 baskets left in front of 32, a score that ensured the first place for women in this competition for the Bravos Judicial District (Juárez) squad.
In the men’s category, “X Team” Morelos faced the “Judicial Pack” Bravos, the latter fell on the scoreboard with 27 baskets against 54 basketed by the team from the Morelos Judicial District (Chihuahua).
The magistrate president of the Judiciary Myriam Hernández Acosta, together with the general director of Administration, Carlos de Lascurain Ochoa and the coordinator of the Office of the Presidency, Nyria Trevizo, presented recognitions, medals and prizes to the athletes whom they encouraged to continue participating in these activities that project a different face of the institution and give another meaning to the judicial function that they perform.
