The juvenile Jorge Gil, from the Soria Basketball Club, is part of the list of those summoned by the Castilla y León Basketball Federation for the concentration that the regional minibasket preselection will hold, from December 8 to 11, in the Burgos town of Miranda de Ebro. The 11-year-old CSB Infantil Masculino B player has participated in the last three rallies that have brought together the most outstanding players from the region born in 2011. Among them are the twelve that will form the team that represents Castilla y León in the Spanish Championship of Regional Minibasket Teams, scheduled for next April in the province of Tarragona.
The man from Soriano already participated in the rally that brought together 76 players last Easter in Béjar (Salamanca), where the PRD Selections Championship of Castilla y León was held at the beginning of June, to which he attended enrolled in the Provincial team of Soria. He was summoned for the work session on October 29 in Valladolid and also became one of the twenty chosen to exercise in Peñaranda de Bracamonte (Salamanca) on November 19 and 20. In Miranda de Ebro seventeen players will work, of which fifteen were already in the previous concentration. León has six representatives and another five players come from Valladolid. The regional minibasket preselection plans to play two preparation matches throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, at 11:15 a.m., Castilla y León will face La Rioja. And on Sunday, at the same time, the adversary will be Navarra. This concentration of the regional minibasket preselection will coincide in time with the two training sessions that, with the presence of Diego Valero and Víctor Chamarro from Sorianos, will be carried out on December 8 in Valladolid by the 24 players born in 2010 whom he has mentioned the Basketball Federation of Castilla y León. Club Soria Baloncesto is one of the six clubs from the entire region that are represented in both shortlists. The other five are San Pablo Burgos, Los Adiles de León Basketball Club, Leonés School, Tormes de Salamanca and Real Valladolid de Baloncesto. Rubbing shoulders with entities of such tradition and prestige as these was unthinkable for Club Soria Baloncesto when it was founded in 2015.
