Vitoria-Gasteiz will host the 2nd edition of the Spanish Para-Badminton International from February 20 to 26 at the Aranalde sports center. The capital of Álava is once again a reference in it for the world championship thanks to the great success and sporting level that was seen in the 2022 edition.
With 329 registered athletes from 45 countries, including Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, the United States, Nigeria, Malaysia and Hong Kong, among others, the 2023 tournament surpasses the previous edition in participation, which It had 140 athletes. This year, the tournament will qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Among the best players in the world, European champions and Paralympic medalists, 14 Spanish players will participate in the tournament, including Jaime Polo, Antonio Osorio, Selenia Plamompo, Álex Santamaría, Javier González, Cristina Sánchez de Lechina, Pablo Serrano, Manuel García, Francisco Motero, Jorge López, Juan Carlos Quintana, Mireia Hermida, Ignacio Fernández and Iván Segura.
In addition to sports, the organization will offer guided visits to emblematic places in the city and the first week of February, students from various schools in Vitoria will participate in inclusive sessions in Aranalde.

1st test of the National Circuit for
As a prelude to the international event, on February 4, the 1st test of the National Para Circuit will be held in the Álava capital for the fourth consecutive year in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
