13th DAY NORTH GROUP: VALBRUNA BOLZANO STEEL 51 – MANTOVAGRICOLTURA 45

2023 starts with a bitter taste for the Mantuans who collect the defeat in Bolzano on 51 to 45.
The start is a sprint for the housewives who place a partial of 7 to 0 signed by Nasraoui and Schwienbacher, it will then be Orazzo who puts an end to the red and white fast by scoring five consecutive points. Returning from the long break, Dell’Olio picks up where he left off previously with a triple of -1, while Bolzano goes into crisis by missing the target on several occasions. It was again the long red and white, Llorente, who signed the first advantage of the evening on 30 to 31, but the reaction of the housewives was soon needed, who immediately put themselves forward with a shot from the average. Once again the second chances don’t help the Sangiorgines who are unable to materialize although the rebound effort of tonight is remarkable while Bernardoni again equalizes the games on 32 equal to free throws. Then the alternation of the parts begins with the question and answer between the two teams which is disrupted by Jurhar on 38 to 35, but MantovAgricoltura continues to chase and does not give up and in the same way Valbruna does not retreat a millimeter closing the fourth on + 4 of 40 to 36.
Last ten minutes characterized by MantovAgricoltura in continuous pursuit of the opponents with decreased shooting percentages that do not allow the Sangiorgines to approach as they would like and impact the race by trying to overturn the score. In the final seconds, Dell’Olio’s two points from below were not enough (he closed the evening as top scorer with 14 points on the scoresheet) and the match finished 51 to 45 for Acciaierie Valbruna Bolzano.
MantovAgricoltura will return to the field next Saturday, January 14, at 20.30 on the Pala Sguaitzer field on the occasion of the first day of the second round against EcoDent Alpo.
