ASSCTG dominates the individual senior federal tournament of the Gabonese judo federation

The competition recorded the participation of 11 Gabonese teams on Saturday January 14, 2023 at the Léon Mba national high school in Libreville.

It is the gymnasium of the Léon Mba national high school in the first arrondissement of the commune of Libreville which served as the setting for the first national tournament organized by the Gabonese Judo Federation (FEGAJUDO) on January 14, 2023.

An individual senior tournament in categories -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -63 kg, -70 kg, -78 kg, +78 kg for women and in 60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg, – 81 kg, -90 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg for men with the possibility for juniors (minimum orange belt) to fight.

The only representatives from the interior of the country at this federal tournament, the 11 judokas of the ASSCTG of Port-Gentil were able to distinguish themselves by winning nine medals, including 5 gold. With this performance, the club from the economic capital finished at the top of the rankings out of the 11 clubs involved.

In juniors, we note the participation of 75 judokas including 23 women representing 10 clubs from the Estuary and one from Ogooué-Maritime.
