Triple confrontation for Huétor Vega in table tennis

The Granada-Grupo Torres Badminton Club plays this Sunday (11:00 am) in Núñez Blanca) the fifth day of the Division of Honor. Salvador Franco’s team hosts Arjonilla, one of the strongest teams in group B. They are currently in second place, with two wins and one loss, the same numbers as the team from Granada.

The people from Jaén come from beating Paracuellos at home (4-3) and did the same in the debut of the season against Universidad de Valladolid (5-2). The only defeat in their locker, they conceded it against the leader Rinconada (4-3).

The paths of both teams have been almost identical so far in the championship. The Badminton Granada-Grupo Torres defeated Paracuellos 2-5 in their debut, beat Valladolid 6-1 and lost 6-1 against Rinconada, for which they have a total of 43-34 in games, while the overall score of Arjonilla is 42-34. That is why this match is expected to be the most even that the two teams have played so far in the championship, with an extra incentive. At stake is the second place that will give at the end of the season the prize of playing for the Iberdrola League title.

For coach Salvador Franco, the game could be “70-30 for them, as long as they bring all their foreign players. They also have powerful national players, some in the CAR of Madrid. Besides, they have been reinforced with some Danish and Scottish players, so if they bring their entire army the match will be somewhat difficult for us.

As for the team, Franco revealed that they have all the national players and do not have any casualties. We will try to surprise, get as many points as possible against a direct rival that is second, with one more point in a match, although overall it is tied. Whoever wins will be second.

One of the most important matches for Covirán Churriana Inclusive arrives, at least in this first phase. Villa de Leganés visits the municipal pavilion this Sunday (11:30 am) with the aim of testing the good start of the churrianeros.

The people of Madrid were the black beast of Covirán last season in the First Division with two exciting matches, especially the last one, which had to go to extra time and whose outcome with a victory in the capital did not prevent the relegation of both teams.

The story this weekend will be very different. Francis Sánchez is giving minutes to the youngest players of Covirán Churriana and the bet is working. At the moment, the people from Granada continue to be leaders of group B of the Second Division since they have won the two games played this season against Castellón and Elche, while the leganenses have only played one against Melilla, resolved with a 57-38 victory.

On the other hand, one of the attractions of this match will be the reunion of an old acquaintance of the Churriano fans. Javi Ayllón from Granada, one of the heroes of the team’s promotion to the First Division, is part of Villa de Leganés, so on Sunday he will be able to see his former teammates again.
