Betis Basketball negotiates the signing of the Armenian center Luke Fisher

Seville, 1 Jan. Real Betis Basketball, bottom of the Endesa League, is about to close the signing until the end of this season of international center with Armenia Luke Fischer, a player of American origin with experience in Spain who comes from French SLUC Nancy.

Fischer, 28 years old and 2.11 meters tall, has published a tweet this Sunday in which he says goodbye to the French club and announces his signing for a Spanish club that will be, according to the newspaper Ouest-France and they have confirmed to EFE sources close to the operation, Betis Basketball.

Educated at Portsmouth and Marquette universities, the Wisconsin native basketball player came to Europe in 2017 to play two seasons in Gran Canaria. In the first one, his coach was Luis Casimiro, with whom he will now meet again in Seville.

With the Gran Canaria team, the Armenian center played 43 games in which he averaged 3.86 points and 1.95 rebounds in almost 9 minutes on average on court.

Luke Fischer played for German side Oliver Würzburg in the 2019-20 campaign, after which he went to France, where he has played successively for Orleans Loiret, Nanterre 92 and, since last summer, for SLUC Nancy. EFE
