The annual ceremony for the awarding of medals for Youth, sports and associative commitment took place on Monday January 16, 2023 at the premises of the Lot Prefecture. Chaired by Nicolas Regny, secretary general of the prefecture and sub-prefect of the arrondissement of Cahors, this ceremony was intended to reward commitment to the service of associations and leisure activities.
This year, no less than 25 Lotoises and Lotois involved in associations received the precious distinction in the presence of Aurélien Pradié deputy, Christophe Proenca vice-president of the department in charge of sports, Bénédicte Lanes for Grand Cahors and Françoise Faubert Deputy Mayor of Cahors in charge of culture and sports. Received the gold medal: Claude Barrès (Transhepate, Transforme and Prosport), Charles Beaufils (Pradines-St Vincent football), Christiane Thénégal (Tennis club of Cahors, Rotary). Received the silver medal: Pierre Blazy (French Boxing from Cadurcy), Yves Gineste (FDOL, ALGEEI, Occitan), Yves Louargant (Limargue-Ségala football, Elan Marivalois), Monique Nadaud (Biars-Bretenoux swimming), Janie Verbrugge ( CDRP), Claudine Vermande (Avenir Sport Marivalois, Elan Marivalois, District, CDOS).
