The Colombian tennis player Daniel Galán was eliminated this Sunday in the first round of the tennis tournament in Adelaide, Australia, after abandoning the match he was playing against the American Mackenzie McDonald.
McDonald, 27, defeated Galán, 26, 6-3, 0-0 and resigned.
For his part, American Marcos Giron defeated Frenchman Richard Gasquet in three hard-fought sets, 7-6 (7/5), 6-7 (6/8), 7-5.
