DAZN price increase: So the service is still available at the old price

DAZN* is a sports streaming service that lets you watch live streams of ice hockey, baseball, basketball, American football, the Bundesliga and other sporting events.

Membership costs EUR 29.99 per month for existing customers or EUR 24.99 per month for an annual subscription – but the prices have already been increased again for new members.

The sports streaming service DAZN* shocked its users again with a price increase. After the prices had already been doubled (!) in February 2022 – which has led the Federation of Consumer Organizations (vzbv) to step in and want to file a lawsuit – the service should now become more expensive again.

The new prices at DAZN

Since the summer of 2022 at the latest, DAZN customers have been paying 29.99 euros instead of the previous 14.99 euros for a monthly subscription or 274.99 euros instead of 149.99 euros for an annual membership. For new customers, the costs are now increasing again: to 39.99 euros per month or 359.88 euros per year. You can use the following tricks DAZN* but now secure at the current existing customer price.

You can still get it in retail and in some online shops Credit cards for DAZN.* With them you get the DAZN subscription for the regular price of 29.99 euros per month and you have the choice between a voucher for one, three or twelve months. The credit card then gives you access to all DAZN content, which you can watch in two parallel streams on up to six registered devices.

Use DAZN via Sky or Telekom

customers of Sky* or the Telekom* You can also get the unlimited subscription from DAZN at a lower price until February 15, 2023. The DAZN annual subscription is available via Sky in the first year for only 19.99 euros per month*, after which the price increases to 29.99 euros. Subscribers to Magenta TV pay DAZN 22.00 euros per month for one year.*

What is DAZN anyway?

You don’t even know what you’re doing DAZN* expected? Here are a few facts about the sports streaming service: DAZN is a paid streaming platform where you can choose from numerous sports broadcasts. The program includes thousands of live broadcasts per year, numerous highlights and summaries.

You can see these sports on DAZN:

  • Football (including Bundesliga, Champions League, Serie A, LaLiga, Ligue 1, Coppa Italia, Eredivisie, MLS, World Cup and European Championship qualifiers, UEFA Nations League)
  • American Football (darunter NFL)
  • Basketball (including NBA)

Since January 2023 there is at DAZN* different subscription models: DAZN World, DAZN Standard and DAZN Unlimited. The latter corresponds to the well-known model, which is why existing customers now automatically use DAZN Unlimited. With the other two variants, you have to do without simultaneous streams and can only register three instead of six devices. Also, some content is unavailable. With DAZN World you can watch international sports such as football, handball, darts and more, and with DAZN Standard you get access to the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, NFL and NBA, for example.
