Botafogo signed a contract with the Parimatch bookmaker, which will occupy the main space in the team’s uniform for the next two years.
John Textor’s club will receive a total of BRL 27.7 million per year, this being the biggest sponsorship contract for Botafogo in 128 years of history. The contract is valid from January 2023 to December 2024.
“Botafogo is going through a period of international repositioning with the growth of Eagle Football, and is restructuring itself in all sectors to attract the best partners”, celebrated John Textor, president of Eagle Football, which manages several clubs.
With this Parimatch partnership, Botafogo becomes the third club with the biggest master sponsor in Brazilian football. The leader continues to be Palmeiras, which earns BRL 81 million per year with Crefisa.
But it should be noted that we are only considering master sponsors. Note, for example, the situation of Flamengo, which has a R$ 35 million contract with BRB, but is sewing an agreement with co-sponsor Mercado Livre, which can yield more than R$ 20 million per year to the club’s coffers .
