Grisolles. Football: U13, “Travel trains youth”

The substantive work undertaken with the youngest is gradually paying off within the football club.

If, at the end of 2022, the disappointment was great in U 15 and U 17 in the final straight to access the Territory championship in the second half of the season, the U 13s have succeeded in the first two phases of the plateau in football to VIII. Conclusion: they won the right to play a second phase in Territory in XI football, with three other clubs in the department. A pool of 12 teams with clubs from Tarn, Aveyron, Lozère and Tarn-et-Garonne. This makes some significant trips, notably to Mende, Baraqueville, Albi and others. But as the saying goes: “Travel shapes youth”. In the meantime, it is a great experience for these young people to be able to confront the football practiced in neighboring departments. This underlines the very good work of coach Lessi and his assistants over the past few seasons.

Overall, the whole football school is highlighted by this performance. Remember that the football school (labelled FFF in 2021) is doing very well, especially in terms of the game offered and behavior on and off the pitch. All the key is there to train future players.

Next match in Grisolles for these U 13 on Sunday February 5 at 11:30 a.m., against Rodez, and Saturday March 18, against Albi/Marssac.
