Hunting: the big game patent soon to be back in the Nièvre

Do you want to know about deer, roe deer, ammunition, forestry, wolves, or even hunting regulations, ballistics or mountain game? From Friday 27 January and for a few months, the Nièvre Big Game Hunters Association is organizing its eleventh edition of the Big Game Brevet, on the site of the Departmental Hunting Federation, in Forges (Sauvigny-les-Bois ).

Hunting safety: what are the measures announced by Bérangère Couillard?

As every year, this training is open to all. “We have more and more people who are not hunters, but who come to learn about nature”, rejoices Robert Lemoine, president of the association. More and more young candidates are applying: this training is accessible from the age of 14.

Practical test, then theoretical test

Delivered over more than four months (one evening a week), with the intervention of a dozen specialists in their field, the training is entirely voluntary. It still requires participation, among other things to join the association and have the revision manual.

The training will end with a practical test on May 20 (rifle, shotgun, bow or hunting ring recognition test), then a theoretical test on June 3 (130 quick questions) . In 2022, the association had a success rate of 92%, right in its average of recent years.
