There are now less than three weeks until the start of the 2023 judo season, which will officially start with the Grand Prix Portogallo from 27 to 29 January. Almada will host the first event of the year for the World Tour, even if many big names have decided to give up on the Lusitanian tournament to bet everything on the prestigious Grand Slam in Paris, which will be staged between 4 and 5 February.
Italy is no exception in this sense, mainly targeting the Parisian appointment and leaving room for the second lines. To date 19 blue judokas are enrolled in the Portuguese Grand Prixincluding 8 men and 11 women.
In the men’s field, Andrea Carlino (60 kg), Alessandro Magnani (73), Edoardo Mella (73), Leonardo Casaglia (81), Bright Maddaloni (81), Lorenzo Rigano (90), Enrico Bergamelli (100) and Lorenzo Agro Sylvain (+100).
