International Paralympic Committee will maintain 22 sports at the Los Angeles 2028 Games

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) reported this Monday that the competitive program for the Los Angeles 2028 Games will be made up of the same 22 sports that they will be in Paris 2024 and that they were already part of the Tokyo 2020 edition.

The sports included in the competitive program in Los Angeles are badminton, boccia, blind football, goalball, judo, rowing, horse riding, table tennis, tennis, fencing and chair basketball, archery, athletics, sitting volleyball, weightlifting, swimming, rowing, shooting, taekwondo, triathlon, rugby wheelchair and cycling.

“Determining these sports for inclusion at the Los Angeles Paralympic Games, through the IFRC application process, was a tremendously difficult job for the IPC Governing Board, as we received 33 excellent applications,” said the president. of the International Paralympic Committee, the Brazilian Andrew Parsons, in a statement.
