Judokas at the height in competition

Cournon-d’Auvergne. A promising start to the year at Cournon Judo. The end of the year was more than positive for the Cournonnais judo club with notable results for three judokas. Indeed, last December 3 took place in Los Angeles, at the Asuza University dojo, the Winter international tournament, bringing together fighters from five continents.

Le Cournon judo was represented by Toanui Lucas, who fought in – 81 kg. After a more than honorable career which saw him finish in 4 e place in its category, Toanui joins the Polynesia – Oceania ranking list with the aim of participating in the Pacific Games in 2023.

At another level, the same day, Ambre Cescutti became minimal departmental champion in – 52 kg, then Jovan Milikovic also won this competition in the category – 81 kg as a cadet.

Ambre is qualified for the minimal interdepartmental championship in Moulins on January 29, and Jovan on February 26 in Andrézieux Bouthéon for the junior interdepartmental championship. Michael Cescutti, the club president, and Éric Chazareix, the teacher, congratulated the three judokas for their brilliant career.
