Proliga 2023: Recap of the results of the first 2 series, standings and next schedule

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The 2023 Proliga volleyball competition has passed the second series of the first round. After eight match days passed, tough competition occurred in the men’s and women’s divisions.

In the men’s section, Jakarta LavAni Allo Bank is still strong and dominates the top of the standings. Jakarta’s STIN BIN debutant team appeared impressive and were able to stick to the defending champion tightly.

Based on the official Proliga 2023 website, Monday, STIN BIN has a total of 13 points or is only one point away from LavAni who is at the top of the standings. Over the past two weeks, STIN BIN and LavAni have become the most dominant teams in the men’s sector.

STIN BIN has recorded four wins from five matches. Two of these wins were won in the second week of round I in the Purwokerto series, last week, namely against Palembang Bank SumselBabel with a score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-20) and Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax with a score of 3-1 ( 26-28, 25-22, 25-20, 25-23).

Meanwhile, LavAni was recorded as an undefeated team throughout the two weeks of the most prestigious professional volleyball competition.

Last week, the team founded by the 6th Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono succeeded in gaining full points by defeating Kudus Sukun Badak with a score of 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-20) and Surabaya BIN Samator with 3-1 (27-25, 25-13, 23-25, 24-21).

Another men’s team that is trying to catch up with LavAni and STIN BIN is Surabaya BIN Samator who last season were runners-up. Overall, Samator collected 10 points from three wins and two defeats.

While the fourth position is Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi with nine points, the result of three wins from a total of four matches.

Then below him are Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax with five points, Jakarta BNI 46 collecting four points), Palembang Bank SumselBabel with four points, and Kudus Sukun Badak at the bottom of the standings with no points yet.

Princess Competition

In the women’s sector, changes to the temporary standings occurred. Jakarta Pertamina Fastron succeeded in shifting the position of the defending champion team Bandung bjb Tandamata which in the first week was at the top of the standings.

Two wins won by Pertamina Fastron in the second week of round I, last week, led to first place with a total of 10 points, the results of three wins and one defeat.

While Bandung bjb Tandamata was displaced in second place with six points, the result of two wins and one defeat. This point is the same as Jakarta BIN which only lost in the ratio of winning sets.

Then Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia is in fourth place with two points, the result of two wins and two defeats. Under him is Jakarta Popsivo Polwan also with two points, the result of one win and two defeats.

Jakarta Elektrik PLN has so far not been able to do much by being at the bottom of the standings with one point after losing three matches in a row.

The journey for the Proliga 2023 participating teams is still long. All teams still have a chance to advance to the final four. Round I also leaves the third week at the PSCC Building, Palembang, South Sumatra, January 19-22.

After that, the participating teams will continue their journey by facing round II which also rolls out for three weeks from February 4 to February 19.

After that, the four best teams from each sector will return to compete in the final four which also rolls over for three weeks from 23 February to 12 March. Followed by the grand final at Amongrogo Sports Hall, Yogyakarta, on March 18-19.
