Thabo Sefolosha should return to service to strengthen his favorite club Vevey-Riviera, which is playing the Final Four of the SBL Cup this weekend.
His commitment, announced by Sport-Center, must be formalized Thursday at the Galeries du Rivage during a press conference.
Semi-retired since leaving Houston in 2020, Thabo Sefolosha is now 38 years old. The 1m98 rear, NBA finalist in 2012 in the Oklahoma City jersey, has not played a single official match since March 2020. He has recently taken on an advisory role for the Swiss men’s team.
Vevey Riviera must face Union Neuchâtel on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Montreux / Clarens in the second semi-final of the men’s SBL Cup. The Vaudois club is also in second place in the LNA ranking, with 11 successes for 4 defeats.
