Swallows a Saturday club on principle
In the 2023/24 competition, the Saturday and Sunday clubs in the third and fourth divisions and the first division will be mixed. However, Zwaluwen is still registered in the KNVB books as a principle Saturday club and will continue to play its matches on Saturday, even with a Sunday club as an opponent.
The starting time of an away match against a Sunday club, assuming that club has field lighting, is 6 p.m.

Getting to know badminton
After the failure of Badminton Association Vijfsluizen, most members switched to BC Maassluis, which was not only active in its own city from that moment on, but also has playing and training time in Sportcentrum Polderpoort. A series of 10 introductory lessons will start there on Sunday 5 March (always from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.). The costs are 25.00 euros. You can register until Monday 20 February via: [email protected]
Two goldcrests at winter championship
Wanne van Geest and Karlijn Offeringa were the goldcrests at the provincial winter sprint championship short course, where ZVVS was present with fifteen swimmers. Van Geest came first in the 50-meter butterfly, second in the 50-meter free, 100-meter back and butterfly and third in the 100-meter free. Offeringa won the 50m butterfly, placed second in the 100m back and butterfly and third in the 50m school and back. Quite a few others improved their personal bests.
Ellery Klasis returns and Eric Fortes stays
Just over half a year after he traded in Zwaluwen for a contract with Sparta, Ellery Klaris is already closing the door of the Castle behind him. He immediately returns to the Zwaluwenlaan. Eric Fortes, who comes from his own training, extended his stay by one year.
