The Indoor World Series from January 20 to 22, 2023 in Nîmes

The indoor season resumes, and announces the return of the Indoor World Series! The world indoor circuit returns in its entirety with four stages, including the Sud de France – Nîmes Archery, famous tournament organized by the Arc Club of Nîmes, with some new features.

This year again, Nîmes is hosting the 25th edition of the indoor tournament bringing together the world’s best archers in the recurve, compound and barebow categories. Last year, out of the 750 athletes from 27 different countries registered, the French had particularly distinguished themselves with two 100% tricolor finals: Jean Philippe Boulch vs Nicolas Girard men’s and women’s compound Lisa Barbelin vs Caroline Lopez recurve bow woman.

3rd stage of the world indoor shooting circuit, the Nîmes tournament is an unmissable event of the season. Since October, the best results in indoor shooting are also counted in the calculation of the Sanlida World Ranking. This stage of Indoor World Series will therefore be the perfect time for archers to climb the ladder. The organizers are expecting nearly 1,000 competitors for this 2023 edition.

Youth in the spotlight in Nîmes

New this season, the South of France Archery in Nimes will support Indoor World Series Youth Finals and will therefore host the Youth World Tour Finals over the weekend. Following the ranking of the various stages and the qualifying shot, the top 16 of the Indoor World Series U21 ranking will compete and play the matches on Saturday and the IWS Youth finals on Sunday morning. A golden opportunity for young French archers, multi-medal winners internationally this season, to rub shoulders with the world elite.
