Festive day for the Judo Club Ventimiglia, on the occasion of the Coni sports awards ceremony. The technical director of the border association, the Meritorious Maestro Rocco Iannucci was awarded the ‘Silver Star for Sporting Merit’.
A prestigious acknowledgment that rewards seventy years of honorable career always at the service of Sport and the young people of Ventimiglia. Iannucci, for all the ‘Maestro Rocco’, received the award from the hands of the Prefect of Imperia and from Antonio Micillo, President of the Regional Committee of Coni.
Founder and Technical Director of the Judo Club Ventimiglia Iannucci, since 1971, he has covered federal technical positions, also lending his work as an instructor at the School of Student Agents of the State Police. Promoter of educational and social projects for the diffusion of Judo and in favor of citizens, he has organized important national and international events in the city of Ventimiglia, significantly contributing to the diffusion of this discipline throughout Italy.
He was also a 1st category national referee and vice president of the Liguria Fijlkam Regional Committee, Judo sector. The results obtained by the athletes of the Judo Club Ventimiglia in the regional, national and international fields are also excellent.
Rocco Iannucci has given life to a solid sports association, rooted in the Ventimiglia area, active for 52 years and which has written the sports history of the city of Ventimiglia and which looks to the future with many projects to be implemented and many other objectives to be achieved .
