With a new supplier, Italy launches uniform inspired by marble, a natural element that represents the country

The year began with changes for the Italian national team. After 19 years of partnership with Puma, Italy agreed with Adidas to be its new supplier of sporting goods. And the company has already released Azzurra’s new uniform for the season.

The design of most of the collection is inspired by marble, a natural, geographical and cultural element that has represented Italy and, with it, many of the country’s monuments and cultural sites over the centuries.

— Today we are entering a new era and we are proud to do so with adidas, who have interpreted the passion and tradition of the Azzurra shirt in the best possible way and in a modern key. For 113 years, the Italian football teams have represented a symbol of values and style around the world, the Azzurro is a national asset that goes beyond sport because it conveys feelings that unite people of different ages, genders and social classes,” said Gabriele Gravina , President of the Italian Football Federation.

Adidas has launched the ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ uniforms, which are the quintessence of Italian elegance and style while remaining true to the Azzurra’s iconic heritage. In addition, the product offer is completed by the ‘Anthem’ jacket — the model is defender Bonucci.

On the official website in Italy, the product is already available for sale from 90 euros (about R$500 at current prices). It is also possible to add the Nations League and Euro 2020 title patches.

The new uniform will be on the pitch tomorrow, January 18th, in the under-18 friendly between Italy and Spain, which will take place at the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano.
