The young sportsman Carlos Wenham, judoka of Club Dojo Formentera, participated on Sunday in the junior Balearic championship. He participated in the -73 category, in which he took a creditable 5th place, winning one of three bouts in his block. He could not participate in the semifinals, but from his team they celebrate that he did “a great job of newaza” (action of fighting one on one at ground level) and that he is on the right track. This was the first championship in the junior category for Carlos Wenham, who is still a cadet. Jane Wenham, from the same club, was selected to referee at the championship.
