Bucks beat Hornets for 5th win

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 18 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Charlotte Hornets 124-115 Tuesday for their fifth straight win.

By the way, the Bucks avenged one of their most embarrassing losses of the season.

Milwaukee overcame a triple double by LaMelo Ball, who had 27 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for the Hornets.

Charlotte (16-36) entered the night with the fourth-worst record in the NBA. However, they beat Milwaukee 138-109 on Jan. 6, handing the Bucks their second biggest loss so far this season.

The Hornets scored 51 points in the first quarter of that game, tying the NBA record for a starting quarter. They limited Antetokounmpo to nine points.

Despite scoring 50 points in a 135-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, Antetokounmpo spent part of his news conference talking about the Bucks needing to play better in their rematch with the Hornets.
