Football: a former striker passed by Lyon tried for domestic violence and death threat

A former footballer who passed through Lyon, where he is currently a recruiter, Alain Caveglia will be tried on Tuesday, February 28, for domestic violence and death threats.

He has a court date. Alain Caveglia is due to appear on Tuesday, February 28, before the Caen Criminal Court (Calvados) for “domestic violence” and “repeated death threat”. The charges against the former footballer (54), notably passed by Lyon (1996-2000), would have taken place in June 2021 in Eterville near Caen, reported the regional daily Le Bonhomme Libre.

At the end of his career, Alain Caveglia, who also wore the jerseys of Gueugnon (1988-1990), Sochaux (1990-994), Le Havre (1994-1996, 2000-2002) and Nantes (January-June 2000) , had notably held the position of sports director of the Stade Malherbe de Caen for eight years (2011-2019).

In 2021, the former striker, author of 104 goals in 1time Division during his career, had returned to Lyon to take up a recruiting position.
