Julian Nagelsmann has good news in the final PK before the duel with Gladbach. Sadio Mané returns from injury.

Munich – In the press conference before the game against Borussia from Mönchengladbach, Julian Nagelsmann explained his thoughts on the offensive department. Since Tuesday’s match winner, Kingsley Coman, is threatened with failure, Serge Gnabry could find his way back into the starting XI at Bayern, who recently had to be content with the role of reserve player.

Nagelsmann jokingly explained that, of course, nobody applauds when they’re told they’re not playing, but nobody slaps them on the nose either – “not yet”. His personnel decisions are always subject to the premise of finding the right balance.

Nagelsmann on Mané’s return: “He’ll get in on Sunday”

For the right balance, Nagelsmann can again rely on another building block in the future, specifically on the flanks. Because Sadio Mané, who has been injured since November and will still be missing against Gladbach, will return to team training on Sunday. “He’ll get in on Sunday,” confirms Nagelsmann. He is “in top shape, does everything and has no more problems. The rehab is structured in such a way that there is direct full exertion,” explains Nagelsmann.

Theoretically, he could play again after a week of team training, but he had to get used to the technical and tactical aspects and the duel. That shouldn’t take long, however, because: “He’s no longer a young talent.”

The coach has not yet revealed when Mané will be able to help Bayern again in competitive games. By the way, all fans who want to see the form of the Senegalese for themselves will have the opportunity to do so on Sunday. Team training on Säbener Straße is open to the public. (nki)
