Decidedly, the place of world No. 1 resembles the game of musical chairs. Each week, a new occupant takes over and this makes the tournaments even more thrilling. The Genesis Invitational was amazing. There were also some fine French performances on the European circuits. Here’s everything you need to know.

PGA Tour – The Genesis Invitational

The weeks pass and look alike for Jon Rahm ! Every week, the Spaniard tops the leaderboards and battles for victory. He is undoubtedly the best player in the world for 5 months. In Los Angeles, he proved it by winning his 10th title on the PGA Tour.

After a wonderful show, Jon Rahm wins in – 17! He is ahead of the other man in form at the moment, Max Homa (-15). Patrick Cantlay finished in 3rd place (-14).

It is therefore the 10th PGA Tour win for Rahm who becomes the 1st European to win the Genesis Invitational Since Nick Faldo in 1997. He also became the 1st player to win 3 tournaments on the PGA Tour this season (the 3 in 2023…)!

A week after Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm takes over the throne of world No. 1 in golf.

Tiger Woods, who made his return to competition since the 2022 Masters, finished in 45th place (-1). The appointment is given by Tiger himself for the Major tournaments and possibly other events of the PGA Tour as the Players Championship (9 – 12 mars).

This week, the start of the Florida tour for the PGA Tour with the Honda Classic. Austrian Sepp Straka will defend his title on the PGA National.

DP World Tour – Thailand Classic

Danish Thorbjorn Olesen wins this edition of the Thailand Classic. In -24, he is ahead of the German Yannik Paul (-20). Alexander Knappe et Joost Luiten finish in 3rd place (-18).

it’s about the 7th victory on the circuit for Thorbjorn Olesen. Thanks to this, the 2018 Ryder Cup player climbs to 5th in the DP World Tour Ranking. He also made his return to the World Top 100 (92nd).

Superb performance for Antoine Rozner ! The member of the Team Golf Plus finished in 5th place (-17) alongside Rafael Cabrera Bello et Nicolai Hojgaard. Antoine realizes his 2nd Top 10 in a row. The 3rd of the season with its victory at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. This new performance of choice raises him to the 10ème place du DP World Tour Ranking.

  • Clément Sordet at the end of 22ème (-11)
  • Romain Langasque finished 28th (-10)
  • Matthieu Pavon finishes 33rd (-9)
  • Robin Sciot-Siegrist dates 38ème (-8)
  • Jeong Weon Ko termine 51ème (-6)

This week, the DP World Tour stays in Asia and returns to India. The players will play the Hero Indian Open on the side of New Delhi.

LET – Aramco Saudi Ladies International

The world No. 1 did the job by winning this event. In -21, Lydia Ko wins and beats the player in form at the moment: Aditi Ashok (-20). Great performance from the Belgian player Manon De Roey who finished in 3rd place alongside Lexi Thompson et Lilia Vu (-19).

At the Race To Costa Del Sol, the Indian player Aditi Ashok is more than ever in the lead with 3 Top 10 including 1 victory in 3 tournaments!

For our French women, a fine performance by Pauline Roussin who finished in 18th place (-10). Celine Boutier finished in 45th place (-4). Unfortunately, Agathe Sauzon, Anne-Charlotte Mora et Emma Grechi did not pass the cut.

Challenge Tour – SDC Open

Still in South Africa, it is still a local player who won. JJ Senekal won this event in -25. He is ahead of his compatriot Jarvis Casey (-21). 2 other South Africans finished in 3rd place (-19): Pieter Moolman et Jacob Prinsloo.

Congratulations to Pierre Pineau who finished in 7th place (-17). Ugo Coussaud confirms its current form by finishing in 13th place (-14). He’s staying 3rd of the Road To Mallorca. Clement Berardo finished in 18th place (-13). Mathieu Decottignies-Lafon ranks 30th (-11). Felix Mory closes the tricolor march in 46th place (-9).

For a change, the Challenge Tour is staying in South Africa this week to compete in the Nelson Mandela Bay Championship (last South African tournament of the season).

PGA Champions Tour – Chubb Classic

Again and again him! Bernhard Langer wins and wins his 45th title on the Champions Tour! In -17, the German is ahead Steve Stricker et Padraig Harrington (-14).

Bernhard Langer is legendary. This victory allows him equal the most Champions Tour wins. It also makes him oldest player to win a Champions Tour tournament (65 ans).
