Tennis - Hopman Cup kehrt zurück – Nadal fällt weiter aus"/>
The Hopman Cup is taking place again this year for the first time since 2019. Instead of January in Perth, Australia, the mixed competition will be held in Nice in July. The Swiss duo Belinda Bencic and Leandro Riedi will be there. Bencic won the last two editions alongside Roger Federer (2018 and 2019). In addition to Bencic/Riedi, the world association ITF also reported the participation of Spain with Paula Badosa/Carlos Alcaraz and France with Alizé Cornet/Richard Gasquet. The tournament with a total of six teams will take place on clay from July 19th to 23rd, parallel to the ATP event in Gstaad.
Nadal is absent from Indian Wells and Miami
Rafael Nadal has to give up for the ATP 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami in March. The Spaniard has been injured in his left hip since the Australian Open. According to Spanish media, Nadal could make his comeback at the Monte Carlo clay tournament in April. Nadal has won the tournament in Indian Wells three times (2007, 2009 and 2013), but Miami has never won it.
