Manchester United appeared impressive when slaughtering Leicester City 3-0 in the match Premier League at Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday (19/2) evening WIB.

Marcus Rashford managed to put MU ahead in the 24th minute. The goal was created after Rashford managed to take advantage of a through ball from Bruno Fernandes. Rashford, who had already faced Leicester’s goalkeeper, was able to release a perfect finish and a goal was created.

In the 30th minute Leicester threatened Manchester United’s goal through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s strike. However, Kiernan’s shot was still slightly off the left side of MU’s goal.

Manchester United managed to close the first half with a 1-0 advantage over Leicester City.

In the 37th minute, Manchester United got a golden opportunity through Diogo Dalot. Starting from a counterattack, Diogo Dalot made a one-two pass with Bruno Fernandes. Unfortunately Dalot’s final finish in front of Leicester’s goal was not perfect so it still went off the mark.

In the 49th minute, Manchester United again got a golden opportunity after Lisandro Martinez’s header hit the bar.

Manchester United’s game was even more terrible because it continued to pound on the Leicester defense through pressure after pressure.

In the 57th minute, MU was able to increase the lead to 2-0 through Marcus Rashford. However, Rashford’s celebration was stopped because the referee had to check the VAR after there was an indication of offside when Rashford received Fred’s pass. But VAR reported Rashford was onside and the goal was legal.

Manchester United continued to press Leicester until they managed to increase the score to 3-0 through Jadon Sancho’s goal in the 62nd minute. Jadon Sancho scored a goal after continuing a mature cross from Bruno Fernandes.

In the 70th minute, Jadon Sancho again had another chance to score. Unfortunately his shot was blocked by the Leicester defender, and in the second attempt his shot went over.

Until the game ended the score 3-0 for MU’s victory did not change. This victory made Manchester United firmly in third place in the Premier League standings by packing 49 points from 24 matches.

Manchester United are now only three points away from Manchester City who are in second place in the Premier League. Meanwhile, with the top standings namely Arsenal, MU is now five points adrift.
