The typical L1 team – 22nd day

Author of a big match, the Strasbourg Habib Diallo is elected player of the day. The Parisian Hakimi, the Niçois Laborde and Todibo, the Lille residents André Gomes and Zhegrova in particular, also distinguished themselves this weekend and appear in the 22nd edition of the typical Maxifoot team.

As in past seasons, after each day of the championship, Maxifoot composes its typical team. The best “eleven” and seven substitutes are chosen according to their performance. The holders collect three points, the substitutes receive one point.

Replacements:

12. Vito Mannone (Lorient)
13. Guillermo Maripan (Monaco)
14. Morgan Sanson (Strasbourg)
15. Pierre Lees Melou (Brest)
16. Lionel Messi (Paris-SG)
17. Evann Guessand (Nantes)
18. Breel Embolo (Munich)

In detail :

Player of the day: Habib Diallo (Strasbourg)

Author of a double against Montpellier, the Strasbourg striker was the great architect of Racing’s first home victory this season. In addition to his goals, he drove the Montpellier defenders crazy throughout the game and participated brilliantly in the construction with great intelligence in his deliveries.

Lucas Chevalier (Lille)

Without him, Lille would probably not have left Rennes with the three points. The Lille goalkeeper prevents Gouiri from making the break after only five minutes of play. Behind, he is still decisive twice against the Rennes striker and makes an exceptional save to avoid a goal against his Diakité side.

Achraf Hakimi (Paris SG)

In great shape in recent weeks, the right side has again had impressive activity in his lane against Toulouse. Very available and often in the good shots, the Moroccan international equalized at the end of the first period with a nice shot from the left. In the second half, his breakthrough in the axis brought the goal of Messi.

Jean-Clair Todibo (Nice)

The central defender was monstrous in his area against OM. His reading of the game and his speed allowed him to stop many Marseille offensives. Also very good in the recovery, like his pass to Laborde on the second Nice goal.

Alexander Djiku (Strasbourg)

The Strasbourg central defender was at his best against Strasbourg. This resulted in enormous defensive work, ten clearances (match record) and a save in front of Chotard at the start of the second period. He is also decisive offensively with his long pass for Diallo which allows Racing to break before the break.

Gaius Henry (Monaco)

Very active in his lane against Clermont, the left side still brought a lot of danger, while being reliable defensively. Always valuable from a set piece, the Brazilian drops the ball on Maripan’s head for the opener.

Edon Zhegrova (Lille)

Increasingly comfortable with LOSC, the Kosovar international once again displayed his technical qualities against Rennes by wearing down the opposing defenders. But, above all, he was decisive by equalizing on the hour mark, before serving Cabella then André Gomes on the other two Lille goals.

Maxence Caqueret (Lyon)

The Lyon midfielder was invaluable at Troyes thanks to his incredible activity. Omnipresent on the left side of the field to fill in the gaps and scrape the balls, he was also available across the width to participate in the construction. Decisive passer on the opener for Barcola.

Andre Gomes (Lille)

Against Rennes, the midfielder had his best game since arriving in Lille. He was imperial in the midfield, both in recovery and creation. He was involved in Lille’s first two goals, before making the net tremble in turn with a classy action in the Rennes area.

Bradley Barcola (Lyon)

Often interesting during his appearances in the Lyon jersey, the young striker had not yet managed to translate this statistically into Ligue 1. It’s done with a first league goal for him against Troyes. An achievement that rewards a very good first period for the restless Gone, who made his technique and speed speak to destabilize the opposing defense.

Gaetan Laborde (Nice)

The Nice striker confirmed his return to form against OM. Decisive in the last two games against Lille and Lens, he gave it back to Marseille. His shot brings Diop’s first goal, then he finishes on the second. Besides his involvement on both goals, he constantly weighed on his side and his defensive efforts helped his team well.
