Ismaël Gharbi should have been loaned without a purchase option to OGC Nice, but the Parisian leaders finally backtracked.
The reason? While everything was stalled, Hakim Ziyech, the attacking midfielder of Chelsea, was finally unable to join PSG, which prompted the capital club to keep its young hope alive. The two files were linked.
Everything was however finalized at 10 p.m. and the documents sent at 10:30 p.m. for Gharbi on which Nice had bet after Chelsea’s refusal to loan Datro Fofana.
The latter was however delighted with the idea of joining the Côte d’Azur, where he saw himself playing during this second part of the season.
Nearly 40 million spent during this transfer window
On arrival, the Nice leaders will still have finalized their two priority files: Terem Moffi and Youssouf Ndayishimiye. These two transfers are estimated at more than forty million euros, a tidy sum.
The former Lorient striker will not qualify for Wednesday’s game in Lens. He will make his debut with the Gym in Marseille this Sunday.
