Good news at the Van Aert home. The cyclist and his wife Sarah De Bie are expecting a second child.
The couple shared an announcement of their summer baby on social media. Two years ago they already had a son, Georges. The 28-year-old Van Aert will again participate in the Tour de France in July. ‘I would like to go back, because I have always been successful there,’ said the Kempenaar at the announcement at the end of last year.
At the time, Van Aert and De Bie consciously chose to become young parents. ‘It is a nice thought that he will consciously experience a large part of my career. And that he will already be a big boy when I stop cycling. Then we can immediately do fun things together. Traveling and such,’ Van Aert said at the time.
