FABR’s spin of the round has the women’s Brazil Onças x USA in addition to the debuts of the Paranaense and Gaúcho championships

FABR will have a special and eventful weekend with the 1st game in the history of the Brazilian women’s football team against the selection of AFE USA All Stars, this Saturday (11/3), at 2 pm, in São Bernardo do Campo. In addition, there will be games for the SPFL, Campeonato Mineiro and the debuts of the Campeonatos Paranaense and Gaúcho.

And the weekend will start in style. The Municipal stadium Giglio Portugal Pichinin, known as Baetão, in São Bernardo do Campo, will host, starting at 2 pm, the Unity Bowl between Brazil and the AFE USA All Stars – a team made up of players who work for AFE -American Football Events.

– We are all looking forward to the game, for being the first of the Brazilian women’s team in history and for marking the beginning of preparation for the next world cup – explained Raphael Negreiros, head coach of Brasil Onças Feminino.

– We want to be able to represent the sport well and honor Brazil’s shirt on the field. We know it won’t be easy, but the girls embraced the challenge and we’re committed to having an exceptional football experience.”

In addition to the remarkable fact of being the first commitment of the women’s football team, the Unity Bowl (name of the friendly tournament) brings with it the fact that it is held precisely on the week of International Women’s Day, which makes the match even more special.

– I’ve been playing American football for seven years and after three calls to the Brazilian national team, the historic moment has finally arrived to play a game with the national team’s jersey – commented Larissa Pereira, linebacker for the Portuguese Avengers and women’s Brazil Onças.

If the previous weekend had the premieres of the state teams in São and Minas Gerais, this will take place the kickoff in Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. All games will take place on Sunday (12/3).

At 10:00 am, Juiz de Fora Imperadores receives Pouso Alegre Gladiators at the Instituto Metodista Granbery, in Zona da Mata. The two teams from the interior of Minas Gerais had good campaigns in the Access Division (D2) of the Brasileirão da CBFA. While the team from Juiz de Fora lifted the cup, Pouso Alegre was one of the semifinalists.

For the SPFL Diamond Series, at 10am, Guarulhos Rhynos will face Vikings American Football, at the Campo da Faculdade de Ribeirão Pires (FIRP). In the afternoon, from 2 pm onwards, Moura Lacerda Dragons and Indians FA will play, also at the FIRP Field.

On Sunday (12/3), at 2 pm, Coritiba Crocodiles – champion of the Elite Division (D1) of the Brasileirão da CBFA – makes its debut in the Campeonato Paranaense against Maringá Pyros at Croco Stadium. At the same time, Londrina Bristlebacks receives Cascavel Olympians at the Uady Chaiben stadium, in Londrina.

Finally, the Campeonato Gaúcho will have the kickoff with two games at 2:30 pm. Canoas Bulls will receive, at the Centro Olimpico Municipal de Canoas, the current champion Santa Maria Soldiers, who is going in search of his eighth title. In Guaíba, the Porto Alegre Pumpkins meet against Carlos Barbosa Ximangos, in Guaíba.
